1. Anne Hathway and Adam Shulman

Anne Hathway married her lover and fellow actor, Adam Shulman in a private wedding ceremony along the coast of California in September. This Hollywood wedding ceremony was probably the most picturesque as the couple exchanged their wedding vows on a cliff against a backdrop of the blue ocean and a fiery sunset.

Anne and Adam’s Wedding celebrations lasted a whole weekend with a 150 guests; the wedding décor and theme was based on “nature.” The bride wore a custom made gown by Valentino. She didn’t wear any jewelry, her only accessory was a 1920s styled white headband that was attached to her veil over her cropped pixie hair cut.

2. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ wedding ceremony, which was held in September, was the most secretive Hollywood Wedding of 2012. The lovebirds had a lavish evening wedding ceremony outside Charleston attended by friends, family and the who’s who of Hollywood.

Blake Lively and her bridesmaids were dressed in custom made gowns by Marchesa. Blake’s gown was a silk hand draped tulle bodice, which was adorned with rose gold embroidery and crystals. The bride graced her feet in Christian Louboutins, which were especially created for her. Her bridesmaids donned blush silk chiffon gowns with crystal embroidery while the groom and his groomsmen wore custom made Burberry suits with leather suspenders.

3. Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied

Natalie Portman finally married her fiancé of two years, Benjamin Millepied in August this year. The wedding ceremony was a thorough Jewish celebration in a private home under the moonlight, along the Big Sur coast. The ceremony took place under a rustic Jewish chuppah designed out of twigs, the couple was wrapped in a Jewish prayer shawl and the ceremony ended with shouts of, “Mazel Tov” to the sound of smashing glass, in keeping with Jewish traditions.

Natalie wore a tea length A-line dress by Rodarte; the sheer georgette over her chest and arms added to the grace of the dress. Natalie wore nude pumps and a floral crown attached to her veil. Benjamin wore a midnight blue tuxedo. The ceremony was attended by over 100 guests including the 14 month old son of the couple. And the menu was strictly vegetarian owing to Natalie’s vegan diet.

This was a one of a kind Hollywood wedding with unique and fresh ideas incorporated into the ceremony and celebration. French macaroons were served instead of going traditional with a wedding cake. The guests received wildflower seed packets as wedding favors with “Merci” inscribed on the packet.

4. Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves

The King of romantic comedies finally tied the knot with his long time partner Camila Alves with whom he fathers two children Levi, 4 and Vida, 2. The two got married in the backyard of their Austin home at sunset in a strictly Catholic wedding ceremony.

The bride wore a beaded delicate lace wedding gown, which was custom made for her by Brazilian dress designer Ducarmo Castelo Brancos and she paired it with white Stuart Weitzman heels. Matthew kept his raw charm alive with a three-piece black Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo.

The three day wedding celebration was indeed quite a lavish affair with over 120 guests, family, friends and colleagues. And it was quite a laid back party with guest lounging on hammocks, resting in tents, a never ending service of chilled beer, lawn games and personalized cookies.

5. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

From an exotic location, to designer labels, the much hyped about Hollywood Wedding of Mr. and Mrs. J was celebrated in a swanky resort Borgo Egnazia in southern Italy in October 2012.

The highlight of this Hollywood wedding was Justin serenading his wife with an original piece that he wrote for her as she walked down the aisle. Even if he hadn’t prepared to do this, he would certainly start singing extempore watching this vision in petal pink, dressed in a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. Justin Timberlake wore a Tom Ford tuxedo, which he helped design.
