Kate Moss has dominated the news headlines and the fashion ramp since…since forever! When was the last time when there was fashion without Kate Moss in it? Therefore, in the wake of the greatest sporting event of all times, could Kate be left out of it…not by a long shot as she proved when she shot for the British version of Vogue in an Alexander McQueen gold gown to mark the closing of the London Olympics as it comes to an end soon.
Kate Moss became the talk of the tinsel town again as she posed for the cover of British Vogue in this extravagantly designed golden gown.
Designed by Sarah Burton, Kate looks as glorious as ever in the bias cut gold encrusted gown made just for her.
Kate Moss is not alone though. Colleague and supermodel Naomi Campbell joins her with other British Supermodels in the shoot. Vogue decidedly commissioned none other than the legendary Nick Knight to capture the supermodels in their full glory as they exhibit the works of some of the best known designers in the country.
The shoot which is being seen as a prelude to the line up by Vogue for the Closing Ceremony of the London Olympics, has been a visual treat with some of the best known faces in the modelling world coming together. While Kate and Naomi wear McQueen, Stella Tennant looks every bit gorgeous in Christopher Kane. If Lilys Cole looks magnificent in Erdem, Donaldon can make you swoon in the Vivienne Westwood attire.
That’s not all, as Jourdan Dunn blows the breath away in Jonathan Sanders outfit and Georgia May Jagger stuns you in her Victoria Beckham design. Ladies, beware as David Gandy looks spectacular in Paul Smith.
Whether fans and audiences will get to see the impressive line-up in the Closing Ceremony is still a guessing game in progress but there is one supermodel who is going to grace Stratford on the August 12. Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio will be a part of the handover as the Olympic Flag makes it way to Brazil from London for the next Olympics to be held there.
So look your best for the August 12 as the Games draw to a close bringing history and fashion together in the most marvelous way. Don’t miss it for the world!
