December is usually the month when the real blockbuster movies hit the cinemas, just in time for the Holidays, and usually wrapped in the same magical atmosphere. The newest adaptation of “Les Miserables” is no exception, as the movie promises a dramatic story, incredible music and a cast fulfilled by the biggest names in Hollywood. Alongside Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe, Amanda Seyfried and Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway promises to deliver the performance of a lifetime in the highly acclaimed musical. Her current short-do was one of the sacrifices made for the sake of Fantine’s role, and says a lot about Anne’s commitment when it comes to flawless acting.
The first part of the “Les Miserables” promo tour debuted in Tokyo, Japan on November 28. The main cast was joined by Anne Hathaway for the premiere and we want to celebrate the actresses’ quiet elegance for “Les Miserables” events, by reviewing her first four looks to have hit the carpet.
Dressed to impress in a black ready-to-wear Antonio Berardi Spring 2013 keyhole dress, Anne Hathaway looked radiant in Tokyo as she joined her fellow cast mates for the movie premiere. Her intricate gown that played upon straps and halter straps of different widths, and featured an asymmetrical hem, was simply styled with a pair of black peep-toe sandals and minimal jewelry. A new version of her pixie cut, a natural make-up and pink lips, completed the pretty appearance.
Sporting a slightly more romantic approach for “Les Miserables” after-party screening held at the Porterhouse in New York City, on December 2nd, Anne Hathaway looked beautiful in her floor-length navy gown. Belonging to The Row’s Spring 2013 collection, the dress featured cute embellishments on the sleeves and was delicately styled with a silver vintage belt. Gold jewelry and a Jill Milan Holland Park clutch helped accessorize the sophisticated approach. Anne’s signature pixie cut, dark nails and soft pink lips added the final touches.
One of the most exciting looks sported by Anne Hathaway during this promo tour was witnessed at “Les Miserables” London premiere on December 5th, where the actress truly shined in a Givenchy Spring 2012 Couture gown. By taking a risk and stepping out of her comfort zone, Anne definitely created a memorable moment. Her floor-length white gown, featured drop sleeves and a mesmerizing pearl and crystal embroidery, and was topped by an alluring open back. Styled with minimal jewelry, the gown could easily pass as an outstanding accessory all on its own.
After the London premiere, Anne Hathaway slipped in a into a more alluring look for “Les Miserables” premiere after-party, opting for an Altuzarra Spring 2013 number. The ensemble featured a black and gold embroidered bustier top, worn under a high-waisted black pencil skirt. A pair of Casadei midnight-blue satin pumps, a selection of rings and the gold Jill Milan 450 Sutter clutch styled the chic appearance.
Natural make-up and the signature pixie cut added the final touches. We absolutely loved Anne’s fashionable approach for the promo tour so far, and cannot wait to see what’ she will choose next, once the world premieres will resume their activity starting with December 21st.
