Heidi Klum is renowned the world over for three things – her thoroughly successful modeling career, her charm as the host of Project Runway and the spookiest and extravagant Halloween parties that she throws annually to celebrate Halloween with her family and friends.
Heidi Klum is known to have worn the most unique and brilliantly thought over costumes each year. Her costumes and her annual Halloween bashes never fail to make headlines. However, the unfortunate circumstances that arose due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, forced Heidi Klum to cancel her Halloween bash 2012 in sympathy for those whose lives were disrupted by the hurricane.
Heidi had gone all out to prepare for her Halloween Bash for 2012 by sending out invites and also having the most elaborate costume created for her. The supermodel whose costume possibilities are limitless had decided to dress as Cleopatra this year. Too bad the bash got cancelled last minute. However, Heidi Klum & her Haunted Holiday Bash are back. Heidi had already planned to postpone her Halloween bash to a “Haunted Christmas” party and luckily enough, her costume finally got to see the light of day at the Haunted Holiday party that she hosted on Saturday evening.
Heidi Klum’s Costume
Heidi Klum’s costume is best described in a simple sentence – we do not know where to start! However, let’s give it a try.
Heidi wore a long gold gown done up in gold fish scales style, overlapping each other to form a pattern. The gown had a low cut neckline with a colorful stone studded belt. She wore a golden and bronze cape over her gown, which she later took off. Heidi wore broad gold bracelets in both her hands and she adorned her fingernails with black nail polish. She graced her neck with an Egyptian styled thick stone studded necklace and with an extravagant gold Pharaoh styled headgear, a snake popping out of it and thick black curls, the supermodel was all set.
Ah ha, no way! We seem to have forgotten the highlight of Heidi’s costume – her makeup. The supermodel lined her eyelashes to look thick and long and complement her cat blue eyes with green eye shadow and black and white eye liners. Her face was all covered up in an amazing detailed work of gold, bronze, silver and pink crystals, giving her a bejeweled look.
It is true that not a single guest can beat Heidi’s look at her own party. However, her guests do try their best with the most outrageous costumes, hairstyles and make up to try and match up to the standards that Heidi sets, in the best possible way. Nevertheless, gold always stands out among silver and this would be the best possible way to describe how elaborate Heidi’s costumes can get.
Let’s take a look at some of the guests who were next in line after Heidi, competing for our attention as the best dressed characters of the evening at the Haunted Holiday Bash.
America’s Next Top Model star Jay Manuel turned up in a disturbingly evil outfit with a heavy red shirtless jacket, black trousers with a red waist design, ghostly makeup with silvery eyes and two horns popping out from his head.
Heidi’s model friends seemed to have owned this bash considering the long guest list of models that attended Heidi’s bash. There were three contestants from Germany’s Next Top Model gracing Heidi Klum’s Haunted Holiday Bash. Sarah Anessa Hitzschke also attended the party. And American business magnate Russell Simmons was seen enjoying model Hana Nitsche’s company dressed in a black track suit with a thick gold chain around his neck.
Heidi Klum surely seemed to be thoroughly enjoying her Haunted Holiday bash, especially with Santa Claus, whose lap provided a comfortable seat to her. We wonder who the man behind Santa’s suit was! 😉
Heidi Klum’s Haunted Holiday bash was sponsored by Svedka Vodka. The event took place at the Finale Club in New York City on Saturday evening.
Although one might gawk at the staggering amounts Heidi and her guests spend on such extravagant costumes, you have to give it to Heidi for her brilliant idea to use her bash as a platform to raise money for the efforts of the American Red Cross. Heidi is also known for her charity and voluntary work for noble causes.
After holding this party as a fundraiser, the supermodel spent the rest of her weekend in the most fruitful manner by distributing essential supplies and food to needy New Yorkers.
