After last week’s first preview showcasing a glamorous Jessica Biel photographed for Elle US’ January cover story, we bring you a first full look at the stunning editorial set to infuse a little bit of magic into our everyday lives right before the Holidays. Shoot in Paris shortly after the release of the Spring 2013 collections, the unexpected editorial plays upon the idea of a beautiful fantasy, where the Hitchcock star and a cast made out of top designers join their forces for fashion.
Every single take is in charge of setting up a different atmosphere, while Jessica Biel is being styled with the most magnificent Spring 2013 garments, very much in accordance with the wonder story. Here are our favorite scenes as shoot by photographer Thomas Whiteside.
The editorial opens up with Jessica Biel wearing a striking purple chiffon A-line evening dress, courtesy of Maison Martin Margiela, worn on top of a stretch-jersey body stocking and styled with a gold tone necklace. Asked about Justin Timberlake’s domestic side, the actress simply answered that “He bakes pies. He does a three-layer pie… and blueberry crunch cake, which is pretty unbelievable“.
A beautiful black and white photography perfectly complements the romantic nature of Valentino’s ethereal gowns. Joined by both designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, Jessica looks utterly beautiful in the Valentino creation, reading sophistication and lightness.
The following image captures Jessica Biel as she is being photographed alongside her favorite designer, Giambattista Valli at Hôtel Plaza Athénée. The actress wears a gorgeous embroidered tweed top and a pair of macramé shorts, both signed by Valli, as she embodies being in bed with her best friend, chatting. “Jessica has very fluid style—She’s never contrived or overdone“.
Shoot on the rooftop of Jean Paul Gaultier’s atelier, Jessica Biel looks edgy and sleek in a JPG pinstripe cutout blazer, a cotton poplin shirt and a pair of perfectly tailored trousers. The ensemble inspired by personalities like David Bowie, Grace Jones and Madonna, was perfectly styled with black pumps and a sleek bun.
Paying tribute to the extraordinaire shoe designer Christian Louboutin, this next image is all about the red hot shade sported by Jessica on her lips, nails and stunning pair of shoes. Making a statement in a black wool-knit dress by Azzedine Alaia, styled with a pair of Christian Louboutin patent leather T-strap pumps, this photograph was shoot at the salon de l’Horloge du Musée d’Orsay, as it is Louboutin’s favorite place in Paris.
