With Kristen Stewart’s Entry Balenciaga’s Designs get a New High at Paris Fashion Week

Kristen Stewart’s appearance at the Paris Fashion Week was undoubtedly one of the most keenly awaited front row gatherings of the runway Fashion show this season. Kristen Stewart, the much disparaged, Twilight actor, showed up at the Paris Fashion Week this Thursday to catch a glimpse of the SS 2013 Balenciaga collection showcased by Nicolas Ghesquiere.

And here’s the news scoop for all you lovely readers out there –the number of eager paparazzi journalists waiting out to capture Kristen’s photo on their lens, clearly outnumbered the number of guests inside the venue. Such is the power of this Twilight star.

Although it was quite apparent that Kristen would turn up for the show as she is the brand ambassador of the brand’s latest fall fragrance, Florabotanica, a blend of moss, a crossbreed rose and wood, motivated by a fairy saga.

Though her life may not look like a fairy saga, especially after her personal debacle with Robert Pattinson this summer. Nevertheless, the brand continued its association with her despite the negative media reports and banishment.

And it comes across that Ghesquiere may have had this fairy saga theme in consideration while he created his latest collection that captured many a heart.

The Show Begins

Balenciaga is frequently associated with being fascinated with “sci-fi” openings, however this time the show dispelled the past track record by opening with loads un-Star Trek-type ruffles. A black colored outfit with a ruffled peplum divulged a slit in the skirt’s edge teamed up with squared-off crop tops.

Barbed lines and chains twisting diagonally on a dress’ front, hopping and boogieing flamenco ruffles, crop tops, and more were the highlights of Balenciaga’s SS 2013. Of course, Kristen Stewart in Balenciaga’s yellow motorbike jacket sitting pretty in the first row was the topmost highlight of the show.

Designer Nicolas Ghesquière has a perfect flair in merging flounce with edginess. The shoes with their heels in square block pattern and lace pattern looked interesting, an off-sleeves jacket looked ravishing with razor-sharp dual-breast pant-suit in light yellow and cobalt blue, teamed up along with white and off white bra tops.

Skirts with two full-size gold badges, were teamed with crop tops or similar coats and jackets. It was a charming yet rebellious look.

The designer displayed a progression of miniskirts with pleats along with a pointed cable print. In addition this design was used on two outfits in a unique and vibrant 3D pattern.

Fashion accessories were the strongest highlight of the presentation Nicolas Ghesquière made at the Paris Fashion Week 2012. Several models were seen wearing gold loops on all the fingers, while other models were spotted wearing twig-type blonde hair slides and a sequence of cylindrical carriers.

All in all, it was a great show, with brilliant showstoppers and attractive first row seaters.
