It wouldn’t have been the first time for the adorable Alexa Chung to make us fall deeply in love with a trend, but the celebrity’s New York Fashion Week ultra-feminine appearance was maybe one of the few times when Alexa really inspired us with a hairstyle.

Why It Works: Successfully sporting a floral headpiece might turn out to be a little bit of a fashion challenge, but Alexa did it justice by playing with the theme, and pairing the pretty crown with a floral print dress and quirky accessories. The natural make-up, together with the glossy locks emphasized the statement head-piece, and turned it into the unique look’s absolute highlight.

When it comes to intricate hairstyles and lovely accessories, Pixie Lott is definitely the one to keep an eye on. The British pop sensation stole the spotlight at the 2012 WGSN Global Fashion Awards thanks to her bright floral head crown and endearing smile.

Why It Works: Pixie’s dreamy red carpet appearance was perfectly complemented by her delicate waves, and the overall youthful make-up consisting of bright pink lipstick, flushed cheeks and fluffy lashes. Her floor-length off-the-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana gown, offered the ideal set-up for the yellow floral crown to really stand out and make a lasting impression.

If you’re all about the subtle kind of statements, you should follow on Keira Knightley and Kirsten Dunst‘s leads, as the two beautiful actresses made for ethereal appearances over the summer, sporting tow delicate versions of the dainty floral headbands.

Why It Works: Subtility is key to a feminine, light and romantic approach, especially when it comes to fancy head crowns that do a great job on standing out on their own. A mesmerizing, almost regal look is perfectly complemented by soft-swept up-dos, delicate make-up and understated jewelry. The floral pieces look beyond perfect especially when if paired to sophisticated embroidered gowns.

Delta Goodrem was the latest celebrity to sport the unique red carpet trend during the Melbourne Cup, earlier this week. The Australian singer successfully joined the list of celebrities who fell in love with the floral crown, by introducing her own take on the romantic fashion direction.

Why It Works: Delta’s Christian Dior Fall 2012 raspberry pink dress screamed pure femininity, due to its brocade bodice and tulle skirt. The oversized floral crown featuring pale white and pink hues, emphasized the lady-like appearance, and complemented the wavy locks and the bright make-up the singer chose for the occasion. This might also make for the loudest floral crown statement spotted on the red carpet yet.

We’re curious to see where will this trend be headed in the near future, and we will make sure to keep you updated on the flawless results.
