Sir Elton John & Partner David Furnish are All Geared Up to Welcome Baby No.2

They made head turns with a simple, yet elegant wedding in 2005 and 7 years down the line, Sir Elton John and his civil partner David Furnish are all set to welcome their second child into the world.

The renowned and exceptionally talented singer and pianist, Elton John is reportedly over the moon with the arrival of his second child with film maker David Furnish. The couple had their first baby, Zachary, two years ago, via the same surrogate who is now several months pregnant with the couple’s second baby.

The surrogate naturally has been and will be well rewarded for her favour towards the couple and her identity is a well kept secret. However, sources say that she has been chosen via the Centre for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, California and is currently being looked after in California.

While the staff at John and Furnish’s Windsor Mansion at Berks has been sworn to secrecy, the word is out that the baby is due in the beginning of 2013 and everyone is busy hunting for a nanny to look after the soon to be born baby.

David and Elton are busy preparing to welcome the baby and are quite happy that Zachary Furnish-John won’t be their “only child.” The couple has always wished to have a sibling for their son, who will turn two on Christmas day 2012, so that he can have someone to play with and go to school with. However, they do admit their worries about Zachary not having a female parent in his life to raise him up. They also fear that since Zachary is the son of famous parents, he is more likely to be teased at school for having two male parents. However, they claim that Zachary is one contented and happy child.

While Sir Elton John has admitted that he regrets not having children earlier in his life, he wants to make up for it by having as many children as he can. David Furnish on the other hand is quite contented with the way his life panned out.

The couple conceived their first child via a process where sperm from two males (in this case John and Furnish) are mixed to fertilize an egg. This process is banned in the UK. It then moves on to the surrogacy stage.

John is currently touring in Australia and hasn’t given a confirmation on the matter; however the proud second time parents are all set to welcome the newest addition to their family.
