The 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

As the end of the year approaches, it seems that every day brings along a new red carpet event intended to celebrate the biggest achievements of 2012, regardless if they are career or style oriented. The Council of Fashion Designers of America chose its winners the other night, during an exciting ceremony held at Center 548, in New York City.

The fashion celebration gathered together an impressive number of personalities from the entertainment, fashion and art industry, that walked the red carpet and later joined the stylish cocktail party. Of course, our eyes caught the most impressive appearances of the night, as the attending ladies did not disappoint with their unexpected looks. A few of them even, definitely stood out on the red carpet and we would love to further discuss their choices for the night.

The ever lovely Emma Stone attended the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards to present the Fashion Fund Award to designer Greg Chait. For the occasion, the actress opted to wear a Burberry Prorsum Spring 2013 look that featured a midnight-blue satin peplum bustier, teamed with a sparkly forest green skirt. A pair of black pumps that matched the flattering waistband, and a flawless make-up perfectly complemented the effortless-chic ensemble.

Is it just as, or is Allison Williams really getting more and more stylish with every new red carpet appearance? The “Girls” actress was one of the many stars to attend the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards held on Tuesday night, and she made for a memorable entrance by sporting a Peter Som Spring 2013 number. Her polished pink dress, featuring intricate cut-outs and a lovely bow placed at the waist, was charmingly styled with a pair of black Alejandro Ingelmo sandals. A pair of precious earring and a soft up-do finished off the elegant appearance.

Miranda Kerr sported a coral and black ensemble, part of Giulietta’s Spring 2013 collection, for the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. The supermodel looked beautiful in her ultra-feminine mid-length skirt that she wore with a complementary sleeveless blouse, with delicate embroidery accents. Black open-toe sandals and a black Prada clutch styled the delicate appearance. Miranda finished off the look with coral lips and straight, shiny locks.

Christina Ricci was one of the ladies that made for quite a dashing appearance during the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. The actress looked youthful and alluring in her Richard Chai Love Spring 2013 mini dress that featured a cut-out waist and a flirty skirt. The sporty look was styled with a dark lip color, minimal jewelry and a pair of black Alejandro Ingelmo pumps.

After falling in love with the soft and feminine pale blush gown sported by Ashley Greene for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” Los Angeles premiere, the actress pleasantly surprised us yet again with a daring all-black ensemble that she chose for the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. Her Wes Gordon Spring 2013 sheer lace top, was effortlessly teamed with a pair of black fitted cropped pants, and black peep toe pumps. Ashely styled her vampy look with minimal jewelry, soft curls and complementary smokey eyes.

Famous for her unusual and always unexpected fashion choices, Alexa Chung definitely provides the most exciting red carpet appearances, even if she doesn’t necessarily always get it right. For the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, the British star picked a light Thakoon Spring 2013 ensemble. Her semi-sheer pale blue sweater, worn over a delicate white chiffon shirt dress was emphasized by a pair of bright red Tabitha Simmons ankle strap sandals.
